The design aims to deliver the global expectation of the Grand Hyatt brand, while simultaneously creating an experience which is very much about its place in Northern California – guests feel that they have arrived in San Francisco, yet feel part of the larger international landscape. The interplay between the international and the regional is what informs the design for the space.

Hyatt’s existing restaurant, “Grand Views”, was relocated from the 36th floor to the mezzanine level, which became OneUp restaurant and bar. Hyatt’s event space was relocated to the 36th floor, and now has unparalleled 360 degree views of the bay.
